Is “Idea” a complex term?

Peace be upon all of you…

How are you? Hope all is fine :).

What’s a strange headline?!!. Is “idea” a complex term?. From my point of view it’s a very complex one. But how? why should I think about this silly and tinny?

In this blog post we show that ideation is very important not only in business life, but also in daily life. It’s a life style.

What’s Ideation ?

Ideation means simply to generate an idea. Generating good ideas is hard enough, and anyone try to begin their own business is suffering enough from getting a brilliant idea. But you can remark that the basic skill of generating ideas is the same in many fields!, software ideas, social ideas, and also medical ones.

Idea in business word means that something distinctive will take place in the world. The more your idea is attractive and brilliant, the more users uses it. But when many people don’t like change, and fear about it, it’s an exhausting battle to pitch an idea and attract users to it. So here we are in a critical problem:

How can I pitch an idea that gets heard?

ku-xlarge1. Know your audience: If you want to attract more audiences, keep two things on your mind: The first that they are busy, and the second is that they hear a lot of ideas on the same topic and most of them are bad or traditional. And as a result, they want to listen to a great idea more than you might think. So try to meet this need. And also craft an effective pitch; you should deliver some excitement to the audience to be attracted to your idea.

2. Consider your idea in its simplest form: Don’t think that showing your idea in a complex way and a sophisticated form gets user to get fascinated by your idea and think that’s marvelous!. He may appreciate it but he won’t try to pay the change fees for your idea. But also don’t forget to capture the essentials.

3. Don’t reinvent the wheel: Start where the other ends. That’s don’t mean that any applied idea isn’t applicable again, but it means that put your touch in the application.

4. Prepare yourself not just your idea: Both investors and users (audiences) want to see you fast, thoughtful, and fast. If they see that your project is larger than your thoughts, they will suspect that you can apply these massive functionalities. And one of the most important key in this advice is to calm your nerves.

5. Define the scope of the idea: The bigger your idea’s scope is, the more audiences can listen to you. It’s axiomatic that bigger containers contain more. But you can ask an embarrassing question: how can I assess the scope of my idea?. Here is some tips:
– The more features and functions the idea consists of, the bigger it is.
– Different targeted audiences lead to a wider idea.
– Allot of services your idea offers means that your idea is bigger and bigger.

6. Don’t deceive the audiences: Simply, because you will lose your credibility, and on the other hand you won’t get any benefit.

7. Offer an idea which audiences in a miss dead to: It’s the most important advice for anyone who want to generate an illuminating idea. Your idea should add a value to your audiences. And not only add a value, but also add a value which they need. And it’s much better whenever your idea provides more needed values.

Strategies for making an elevator pitch:

When you end the step of generating an idea, you should deliver it perfectly. We have many concepts if you read in this topic you find. Idea shipping, idea pitching, idea delivering. You may get confused about this, but all of them are in the same meaning.

There are five known strategies for pitching, which they are as following:

1. The one-word pitch: Abbreviate your ideas to just one word. And it’s one of the most powerful strategies.

2. The question pitch: When you ask the audiences a question, you invite them to show their own reasons for agreeing you. But don’t use this technique with all ideas, use it only when you guarantee that your audiences are agree with you but you need a stronger way to let them tied with your idea.

  3. The rhyming pitch: People get impressed by rhymes more than ordinary speeches.

4. The subject-line pitch: In this technique you illustrate your idea and show its pros in only one sentence.

5. Twitter pitch: Here you introduce your idea in only 140 characters. And it’s a preferred way for many fans.

6. The Pixar pitch: Express your idea in Pixar story sequence. “Once upon a time … . Every day, … . One day … . Because of that, … . Until finally … .”.

At the end of this blog post I want to you ask a question, did you satisfied that the “idea” term is very big ;).

Thanks allot for reading, and stay tuned for more business articles :).

The system building team

Peace be upon all of you …
How are you? hope all is fine 😀

Systems Analysis and Design (SAD) is an exciting, active field in which analysts continually learn new techniques and approaches to develop systems more effectively and efficiently. So I introduce this category for you. It’s helpful for any fresh graduate who search about opportunity, for any student who wants to prepare himself to the market, for anyone who wants to learn how to build an extremely powerful system.

At this category we illustrates the system development life cycle (SDLC). We discuss its five phases -planning, analysis, design, implementation & testing- but we focus more on the first three phases. And also we show the problems which may face you when you are building a system and how to overcome them.

Before all of this, at this post, we anatomize the team which builds a system. And who is the most important person in the project ? and what’s his role ?.

Introduction:

The systems development life cycle (SDLC)  is a methodology that also forms the framework for planning and controlling the creation, testing, and delivery of an information system. In other words, it’s the process of determining how an information system (IS) can support business needs, designing the system, building it, and delivering it to users.

The key person in the SDLC is the systems analyst, who researches problems, plans solutions, recommends software and system, and coordinates development to meet business or other requirements. The primary objective of the systems analyst is not to create a wonderful system. The primary goal is to create value for the organization, which for for-profit organizations means increasing profits, but government agencies and non profitable organizations measure value differently.

From these few words about the system analyst, it’s clear that it’s the major factor in the investment process. Dr. Roberta M. Roth says an impressive words about him. She says “An investment in an information system is like any other investment, such as a new machine tool. The goal is not to acquire the tool, because the tool is simply a means to an end; the goal is to enable the organization to perform work better so that it can earn greater profits or serve its constituents more effectively”.

A successful system building team should has five specializations, and they are as following:

1. System Analyst:

As organizations and technology have become more complex, most large organizations now build project teams that incorporate several analysts with different, but complementary, roles. The systems analyst role FOCUSES ON the IS issues surrounding the system. This is his major role. But also he is the responsible of:

1. Developing ideas.
2. Suggest ways that IT can support and improve business processes.
3. Helping design new business processes supported by IT.
4. Designing the new information system.
5. Ensuring that all IS standards are maintained.

And the systems analyst will have significant training and experience in analysis and design and in programming.

2. Business Analyst:

The business analyst role FOCUSES ON the business issues surrounding the system. This is his major role. But also he is the responsible of:

1. Helping to identify the business value that the system will create.
2. Developing ideas for improving the business processes.
3. Helping design new business processes and policies.

And The business analyst will have business training and experience, plus knowledge of analysis and design.

3. Infrastructure Analyst:

The infrastructure analyst role FOCUSES ON technical issues surrounding the ways the system will interact with the organization’s technical infrastructure (hardware, software, networks, and databases). Over time, an experienced infrastructure analyst may assume the role of software architect, who takes a holistic view of the organization’s entire IT environment and guides application design decisions within that context. This is his major role. But also he is the responsible of:

1. Ensuring that the new information system adapts to organizational standards.
2. Helping to identify infrastructure changes that will be needed to support the system.

The infrastructure analyst will have significant training and experience in networking, database administration, and various hardware and software products.

4. Change Management Analyst:

The change management analyst role focuses on the people and management issues surrounding the system installation. This is his major role. But also he is the responsible of:

1. Ensuring that sufficient documentation and support are available to users.
2. Providing user training on the new system.
3. Developing strategies to overcome resistance to change.

The change management analyst will have significant training and experience in organizational behavior and specific expertise in change management.

5. Project Manager:

The project manager is often a highly experienced system analyst. His role is to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget and that the system delivers the expected value to the organization. More will be said about the project manager three posts after when we discuss the project management in detail.

By this we finished our post about the system building team, the first post in our system analysis category. In the next post we start speaking about the first phase of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in detail. Thanks for reading :).

The Gelatinous Microsoft Office 365 Tickles Business

Peace be upon all of you …
How are you, hope all is fine 🙂

We will speak today about Office 365 with business. What does Office 365 adds to the business world ? Why Office 365 get spread widely among business organizations ? we will answer these questions along this post God willing.

But at first, we will introduce in few words, Whats Office 365 ?, and what’s the supported features in Office 365

What’s Office 365 ?

Office 365  is a subscription-based service which offers access to various services and software built around the Microsoft Office platform. In addition to serving  Microsoft’s Business Online Productivity, it’s also included hosted versions of LyncSharePointOffice Web Apps .

Features in Office 365 :

  •   Cloud services :ZA103603305
Office 365 offer access to cloud hosted versions of Office’s server platforms on a software as a service basis. For example, Through SharePoint’s Sky Drive Pro functionality each user also receives 7 GB of online storage. Also the Home Premium plan for Office 365 includes 20 GB of additional storage for Sky Drive, along with 60 minutes of phone calls per month on Skype.
  • Web applications :
In addition to cloud services, some plans for Office 365 includes direct access to the current Office desktop applications for many OSs. In the case of Office 2013 with Windows, you can install it using a “Click-to-Run” system which allows you to use the applications instantaneously while files are streamed in the background. Updates to the software are installed automatically, covering both security updates and major new versions of Office.
Application streaming is a form of on-demand software distribution. In these scenarios, only essential portions of an application’s code need to be installed on the computer: while the end user performs actions in the application, the necessary code and files are delivered over the network as and when they are required.
A new additional feature called “Office on Demand” is available, which allows users to temporarily stream an Office 2013 application on any compatible computer without needing to fully install it.

Now, let’s go in the purpose of the blog post. Office 365 with business.

Office 365 with business :

Both small and medium-sized businesses can benefit from signing up for Microsoft Office productivity services in the cloud. The subscription-based productivity is proving popular among small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and larger organisations, since employees seek greater flexibility, and employers seek to manage them with the tools needed to improve performance.

SMBs with limited budgets can select just the basic features of the package, while more larger ones can seek a full productivity solutions in the cloud, ensuring their people can use them on any device at any location.

Office 365 for SMBs :

Office 365 manages SMBs to access advanced IT services and solutions, without the need to manage programs in house or have any IT expertise. So employees can gain anywhere access to the programs they use on their office PC such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. This ensures they can work more effectively when away from their office. By this, you have a mobile version of your all data related to work. It’s all to open your Office 365 account and you’ll be as you are in your office.

SMBs can also take advantage of enterprise-grade email, build a public website, participate in HD video conferences and more. When the company is a small or medium one, there is no need to pay for the full range of Microsoft Office services. SMBs can start with just a single licence, which can be used across up to five connected devices. There is no need to make a major financial commitment to Office 365. IT’s dummy if your company is medium, and you put all your budget in software and other productivity, it’s not an effective approach.

Small companies can use the suite to create customized marketing materials which fit their trademark and target audience, and create a website that is easy to set up and update, even for those with no understanding of HTML.

Office 365 for major corporations :

As number of signing up in SMBs increases, the demand on office 365 increases also in the mid-market business, since they seek additional functionality in the cloud and new ways of working. The last few years has seen a significant breakthrough in the number of major business companies, and as a result the value offered by hosted services. And of course they prefer to pay for online services rather than physical IT assets which will see their values depreciate over time. Office 365 recognizes and accounts for this trend, giving mid-market firms the opportunity to source productivity solutions in the cloud – increasing ease of use and reducing costs.

Mid-market firms can access enterprise-grade email, meeting, and collaboration capabilities, while also taking advantage of best-in-class Office tools and services. These are all accessible from anywhere and simple to administer, ensuring employees can work effectively when they find themselves away from the office.  Individual staff members are able to customize their own account settings, enabling them to work as productively as possible. They can access all work files and documents remotely, simply by signing in to their account via Office 365.

With Office 365 also it’s easier for employees to remain in constant contact with their colleagues, using a variety of different communications tools. This helps to create a more collaborative environment, where employees share ideas and work together to achieve collective project goals, irrespective of where they are physically based.

From all of the previous illustration, we observes that Office 365 adds many values for the business world. And everyone regardless of his position in the business world, he will benefit from Office 365 and get the full use of it.

It was the first post about business for me, stay tuned for more business posts later. Thanks for reading 🙂
